Formulated to deliver a soft satin sheen, this finishing wax is ideal for both initial treatment and ongoing aftercare. It further protects surfaces that have already been impregnated with EcoProtec Natural Finish Stone Sealer or EcoProtec Colour Enhancing Stone Sealer, helping maintain a clean, refined appearance.
Suitable for all types of unpolished natural and artificial stone, encaustic tiles, decorative concrete toppings, vitrified quarry tiles, and machine‑made terracotta, the wax creates a uniform satin finish that can be self‑polished or buffed to increase shine. Its water‑based composition ensures easy application and a durable protective film that enhances the aesthetic of interior stone surfaces.

How It Works
EcoProtec Satin Finish Surface Wax forms a thin, protective satin film on the surface. This film enhances colour depth, adds a soft sheen, and provides additional protection against wear. When applied in multiple thin coats, it builds a uniform finish that can be polished to increase shine. The wax works best on surfaces previously sealed with EcoProtec impregnating sealers.
Instructions for Use
Preparation
- Ensure the surface is completely clean and dry.
- Retained moisture may cause the wax to dry opaque or prevent full curing.
Application
Rough‑cut, textured, or riven surfaces
- Apply using a paint brush.
- Spread a thin coat evenly in one direction.
- Allow to dry for at least 1 hour.
- Apply additional coats at right angles to previous coats (maximum 6 coats).
- Do not rub or buff during application.
Honed and smooth surfaces
- Apply using a microfibre cloth or pad.
- Pour wax into a flat tray and soak the cloth or pad.
- Apply thinly and evenly.
- Apply further coats at right angles to previous coats (maximum 6 coats).
- Avoid over‑application to prevent build‑up or reduced efficiency.
Important Notes
- Begins to harden after 1 hour; fully water‑resistant after 3 days.
- Test on spare tiles to determine the best method and number of coats.
- Not recommended for outdoor use or damp environments.
- Avoid shaking the bottle to prevent frothing.
Aftercare
- Sweep floors routinely.
- Clean using EcoProtec Natural Stone & Porcelain Aftercare Cleaner.
- Reapply wax to worn areas as needed.
- For full renovation, strip old wax using EcoProtec Stone & Tile Intensive Cleaner before re‑sealing.
Storage & Safety
- Store in a cool, dry, frost‑free environment.
- Shelf life: up to 4 years unopened.
- Contains 1,2‑Benzisothiazol‑3(2H)‑one.
- May cause allergic reactions and serious eye irritation.
- Wear protective gloves, clothing, and eye protection.
- Keep out of reach of children.
